One side is for 25.5″ (Fender) scale guitars, and the other side is for 24.75” (Gibson) scale guitars.
We wanted to make this tool affordable not only for guitar techs but players as well.

If you’re not sure scale length of your guitar.measure from the edge of the nut (headstock) to the center of the 12th fret.
It should be about 12 3/4” or 12.3/8” +/- 1/16”
